Brightening your smile
Whitening is one of the simplest ways to refresh your appearance. We use the latest in-office technology and a custom home kit to lighten teeth by six to ten shades — or more — safely lifting years of stains from coffee, wine, tobacco, and aging.
In-office Zoom!® whitening
We protect your gums, apply a professional-strength gel, and activate it with the Zoom!® light for 15-minute cycles — up to four rounds depending on your sensitivity. The full visit takes roughly 90 minutes and finishes with a soothing gel and custom take-home trays for ongoing maintenance.
At-home Zoom!® trays
We take an impression and create custom trays that fit your teeth perfectly. Wear them day or night with the supplied gel until you reach your desired shade.
Crest® professional white strips
A great supplement to Zoom!® that you can use on the go. We will guide you on frequency and duration for safe, even results.
Professional vs. store-bought
Over-the-counter kits are convenient, but professional whitening is faster, stronger, safer, and more personalized. Some stains — brown, gray, or stains on crowns and fillings — will not respond to bleaching at all, which is why an evaluation is worth the visit.
Keeping your smile white
- Brush and floss daily; attend regular cleanings
- Limit coffee, black tea, red wine, soda
- Avoid dark berries and heavy sauces (soy, tomato, curry)
- Touch up periodically with your custom trays
FAQs
+ What is teeth whitening?
A treatment that removes stains and lightens the natural color of your teeth so your smile looks brighter and cleaner. It can be done at home or in our office.
+ Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes, when done properly. Always follow your dentist's advice — over-using whitening can lead to sensitivity.
+ Can I whiten my teeth at home?
Yes — we offer a custom at-home Zoom!® system. Always check with your dentist first to make sure you're a good candidate.
+ Does teeth whitening hurt?
It usually doesn't hurt, but some patients feel mild sensitivity for a day or two. The feeling is temporary.
+ Can everyone get teeth whitening?
Whitening works best on yellow stains. It may not lighten brown or gray teeth, and it doesn't affect crowns, fillings, or veneers.
+ In-office vs at-home whitening?
In-office Zoom!® is faster and stronger. At-home trays are slower but more convenient. Both can deliver great results.
+ Will whitening damage my enamel?
Not when used correctly. Overuse or unsupervised products can wear enamel — that is why professional whitening is the safer choice.
+ How do I keep teeth white after treatment?
Brush and floss daily, attend regular cleanings, and limit coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. Periodic touch-ups help maintain results.
